Awesome August Hostess Special

I have had to prioritize other things above my Usborne business this summer, but now those things have settled down, and I am so excited about bringing the new titles and specials to you!

The deals this August are bringing me out of my hibernation and I am just thrilled. A new catalog last month with hundreds of great new titles... a amazing deal on the consultant kit... a great hostess special with a chance to get an EXTRA $50 in books AND and entry to win an iPod Shuffle... it's all fantastic! Do you know how good the odds are of winning an Usborne contest? They are amazing! I can help you get to the level to enter, then let the odds do the work. Look at my archived posts for the odds on previous contests. Then call me at 651-463-7096 or
email! Do you live too far away from me? We can make this work for e-shows too!!

For Your Princess

I know that a lot of you know "girly" girls... and Usborne Books has just what they want! But it's not just for play. The stories are wonderful, and the crafts and cooking books build skills and promote togetherness with the adults that help them.

I know some you know girls who are not especially "girly." I have always been a bookworm and never really into "girly" stuff. Or you know boys so you are ready to pass this by. But wait, all of you! I have some things to point out.

First of all, click on the link above and look especially at the story books: the fairy tales, stories of princes and princesses, and young readers. Most of those will be appreciated by young boys or un-pink girls who just plain like stories. My 5-year-old boy loves The Princess and the Pea.

Secondly, if these 30 titles don't appeal, try the other 1,200 and some! :-)

And finally, for you sparkly pink lovers who are just waiting to click away, after you check out these titles, enter the keyword "princess" to find some more titles that didn't make it into this selection. (The Princess and the Pea is actually one of them) One new title I recommend is the Stories of Princes and Princesses CD pack. Then look at the other Young Reading CD packs too! Stories of Pirates and Treasure Island... I tell you, I love these books too much!!!

How to get 33 Usborne titles at almost 70% off!

The Usborne Books consultant base kit is valued at $323.43! That's just for the 33 titles included. Normally the base kit costs $199 (plus s/h) but this month you can get it for just $100!!

As if that weren't enough to get any book lover drooling, you also get a free commerce-ready website for 6 months and about $50 worth of business supplies. If you have an hour or two a week to devote to an Usborne Books business, with the holiday season coming up, you could create an income to eliminate a few bills or devote to a project around your house. If you don't turn it into an ongoing business, you are still a winner with such a great deal on all those books!

What do you have to lose? Check it out on my website and then call me (651-463-7096) or email me to have me call you so I can answer your questions about what Usborne Books can do for you.

Internet-Only Specials

If you like shopping online, or just like deals, check out these Internet-Only Specials. Prices as low as $2.48 for one of my favorites for babies, Panda in the Park, and $8.48 for the hardcover The Picture Dictionary in French, which has over 1,o00 words translates and put into context in English and French. In addition, all words are read by a native speaker on the Usborne Quicklinks Web site. Be sure you look at the new July titles while you're there!

Usborne and Tabloids

A fellow blogger makes mentions of an Usborne book and I thought you might like to peek at it. Read what he say here, then come back and look at the Usborne descriptions of a fresh and lively look at Ancient Greek and Roman history, written in the style of a tabloid newspaper. My husband is a social studies teacher and for years he has given his students the assignment of writing a tabloid when he teaches the Romans, and I was so excited to show these to him when I first discovered them! These are intended for ages 10 and up.
